A local barber in Washington Court House has been named to a task force that will outline guidelines on when people can get haircuts and their nails done, along with other cosmetology services.
Kyler Kelley, owner of Super Sport Barber Shop on Hinde Street was one of a couple dozen state residents tapped to sit on the special board by the Governor.
While Governor Mike DeWine has said some businesses will slowly begin to reopen starting May 1, getting a haircut did not make the list.
“The real question comes down to can it be done safely? It’s obviously, by its nature, something that’s very close contact,” DeWine said. “You cannot stay 6 feet away and do that.”
The task force will meet and make recommendations to the Governor and the state’s top doctor, Amy Acton.
