CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A woman from Ross County presumably posted on social media to say she was not missing after an all-out search.
Brittany D. Brown was reported missing to Chillicothe Police last week by a family member. The family member told police that Brown was last seen on June 1 at a local restaurant. Police started a missing persons report and a search was underway.
However, on Sunday, a Facebook page purportedly belonging to Brown posted online saying that she was not “missing.”
“I am not missing,” the posting said. “I am 22-years-old. I left on my own. I am safe, happy.”
The Guardian has not been able to independently verify if the account or posting actually belongs to Brown.
Police said they will attempt to make contact with the social media page and confirm its origin.
