CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police are searching for a Columbus man who allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a firearm.
Police responded to Sherman Park Saturday after a caller said a man with a gun was threatening them.
When officers arrived, the victim said her boyfriend was arguing about some money that was stolen.
Witnesses said the confrontation became dangerous when the man, later identified as Tyquan Mitchell, pointed a gun at the victim’s face.
According to reports, Mitchell left the scene and returned to Columbus. The victim told the officers that she wanted to press charges against him.
Authorities said that Mitchell had an active warrant out of Pickaway County. Charges, police say, will be filed for aggravated menacing and having a weapon under disability.
There were no injuries reported in the altercation. The case remains under investigation.
