ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible shooting Wednesday.
According to reports, deputies responded to the 200 block of Tabernacle Road near Chillicothe after a caller said someone had shot at their house multiple times.
On arrival, law enforcement spoke with the residents, who said that someone had shot at their home twice the night prior. The residents, reports say, showed the deputies what appeared to be two bullet holes on the exterior of the house.
One witness told authorities that they had heard what sounded like a loud “pop”. Later that same day, the witness reported a similar incident in which another loud “pop” was heard. Deputies stated that the holes appeared to be the same size as a .45 caliber bullet. There have been no arrests in the case, and the shooting remains under investigation.
