ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A high-speed chase near Chillicothe was caught on camera Friday.
It happened at around 5:15 p.m. along route 772.
Deputies from Ross and Pike counties joined with troopers and the Chillicothe Police Department to bring the chase to an end.
The driver started the pursuit in Pike County, when it snaked up the highway and toward Chillicothe. 
Law enforcement setup spike-strips at Cooks Hill Road. When the man approached the area he saw the partial roadblock, slammed on his brakes, and drove through a field.
It all came to an end when he ended up hitting a utility pole head-on. The driver was taken into custody at gun point. Police say the passenger in the vehicle was hurt in the crash. Her name and the extent of any injuries were not released at the time.
The man’s name and the cause for the initial traffic stop was not immediately released.
