ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Following the theft of an ATV and a subsequent pursuit, three individuals face criminal charges.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office was notified on July 27 of a possible stolen ATV in the area of the Huntsman Market on Route 772 south of Chillicothe.
According to reports, deputies located three individuals and the ATV at a Huntsman Market gas pump. One individual who deputies knew to have an outstanding warrant in Pike County fled the business on foot.
43-year-old Jeramy Steele continued fleeing before deputies were able to take him to the ground and place him into custody.
The remaining two suspects fled on the ATV along Blaine Highway, then continued onto Mount Tabor and Clark Road. According to officials, the pursuit was eventually terminated.
The report shows that deputies know the identities of the two remaining suspects in the incident. Both will be charged with fleeing and eluding, in addition to complicity and obstruction.
