CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The public is invited to celebrate the German heritage of Chillicothe and Ross County at “Schmidt’s Day at the Ross County Historical Society.”
The event will take place on Friday, September 16, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Ross County Heritage Center located at 45 West Fifth Street in Chillicothe and will feature traditional German food prepared by the world-famous Schmidt’s restaurant located in German Village in Columbus.
Schmidt’s Sausage Truck will be serving many of the most popular items on the Schmidt’s menu, all available without the long drive to Columbus.

The event is a social gathering free and open to the public and will take place rain or shine. Food will be available for purchase throughout the day and evening while supplies last. A large tent with tables and chairs will provide a pleasant setting for outside dining no matter what the weather brings.
