CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Chillicothe woman says someone tried to force their way into her residence.
It happened Wednesday evening in the 100 block of Hirn Street on the city’s east side.
According to the report obtained by the Guardian, officers with the police department responded to the home shortly after 10 p.m.
Officers spoke with the 9-1-1 caller, who said she was asleep when she heard what sounded like someone trying to force their way inside.
The resident told police that she saw a white male wearing a gray sweatshirt with a bandanna around his neck trying to push the front door open. The woman stated that she yelled through her “Ring” camera, scaring the would-be intruder, and causing the man to flee from the scene.
No further details were provided by the police, and the incident remains under investigation.
