CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Police in Chillicothe were busy over the weekend.
On Saturday, a man called police after being robbed at gunpoint.
It happened at the Lincoln Park apartment complex on West Seventh Street in the city.
According to the police department, officers responded to the scene shortly after 8 a.m.
The 60-year-old victim told police that while he was outside of his residence, talking to a friend, an unknown African-American male, with a “scruffy beard”, wearing a coat, forced him to the ground.
The victim, in his statement to officers, said, the suspect pulled a “black-colored” handgun and then demanded his car keys, wallet, and cell phone.
The alleged attacker then fled the scene in the victim’s car.
A B.O.L.O (Be On The Lookout) was issued for the vehicle later that afternoon.
No further details were provided by the police. Officials say the case is ongoing.
