CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A high-speed chase took place in the city of Circleville Wednesday morning, involving local police and a suspect driver. The pursuit began after police attempted to stop the driver of a Chevrolet truck for no plates and possible theft.
According to reports, the driver accelerated at a high rate of speed, leading police on a pursuit. A passenger in the truck reportedly bailed from the vehicle and fled on foot, while the pursuit was terminated by authorities due to public safety. Eyewitnesses reported that several officers were nearly hit head-on by the suspect.
The Circleville Police Department issued a Be on the Lookout (B.O.L.O) alert for the early 2000s Chevrolet truck, described as being red over gray in color, with no plates on the back and tinted windows.
