CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Health District has released recent restaurant inspection reports. Several local eateries were found with minor violations. The health district also investigated customer complaints including one customer who said they received a cleaning solution instead of lemonade. Many of the violations, reported by the Health District were corrected while inspectors were on site, according to the reports.
Restaurants With Violations: FEBRUARY 1 – FEBRUARY 24
- PENN STATION EAST COAST SUBS – 21 W WATER ST – Violation of working food containers not properly labeled. Complaint received about a customer being given cleaning solution instead of lemonade. The report did not state if there was any validity to the consumer complaint.
- BELL FARMS – 59 E WATER ST – Violation of food packaged in the facility not labeled.
- LOS MARIACHIS – 1080 N BRIDGE ST – Violation of improper cooling of TCS food. Complaint received about a customer becoming sick after eating wings, cheese sticks, and a burrito. The report did not state if there was any validity to the consumer complaint.
- NEW PEKING RESTAURANT – 32 W MAIN ST – Violation of using multiple plastic containers to store dry goods that are not commercial grade.
- DUNKIN DONUTS – 800 WESTERN AVENUE – Violation of donuts on the counter without a covering on them. Improper storage of ice scoop. Garbage bags overflow the dumpster area.
- IHOP – 10 CONSUMER DR – Non-food contact surfaces of equipment unclean. Improperly cleaned refuse storage area. Accumulation of debris on floors, walls, and floor drains.
- PAPA JOHNS PIZZA – 376 N HIGH ST – No employee with manager certification in food protection. No written procedures for responding to vomiting or diarrheal events. Plumbing system not properly maintained or repaired. Damaged floor by 3-compartment sink.
