ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Agricultural Society’s Equine Facility Subcommittee is seeking partnerships to fund the development of an indoor Equine facility.
The equine program, which officials say is the only program at the fairgrounds vulnerable to weather, is seeking to build a facility that not only serves the youth of Ross County and surrounding counties but provides needed Hippo-therapy programs for vulnerable populations such as individuals with disabilities and veterans who are suffering from PTSD.
Currently an outdoor facility that is vulnerable to the elements utilizes. “Many times, the youth have to exhibit their year-long projects in subpar and dangerous conditions, and some events have had to be canceled due to conditions forcing the youth to travel and compete in other counties,” said a spokesperson.
The Equine Facility Subcommittee is seeking partnerships to fund the development of this facility, and they encourage interested individuals and organizations to contact them for more information.
