CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A teenager from Chillicothe reported that he was attacked by a dog while riding his bicycle. The incident occurred on Monday when police were called to the scene. According to the police report, the victim, a 17-year-old boy, had scratches and puncture marks on his back and buttocks from the dog bite.

The boy and his mother identified the owner of the dog, who lived in a house behind them. The victim reported that the large tan Great Dane chased him down Redd Street and bit him after grabbing him off his bike.

Officers then made contact with the dog’s owner, who confirmed that the Great Dane belonged to her 17-year-old daughter. The woman was advised of her responsibility for the dog’s actions and issued a citation for having a dog at large. She was given a court date and a quarantine paper from the health district.

Chillicothe Police Department did not release any further details regarding the incident.
