Per a representative with National Church Residences:
- A female resident from the Glade (independent living) was seen on a security camera exiting her apartment around 10:45 p.m. on Monday, May 8. She was seen again at 10:47 p.m. by an exterior security camera in front of the building. She walked into the parking lot at about 11:10 p.m. and she wasn’t seen again until the next morning.
- On Tuesday at about 6:20 a.m., two staff members found the resident lying on the sidewalk. They called 911 and stayed with the woman until she was transported to the hospital. At the time of the interaction, the two staffers were unaware that she was a resident and the woman did not communicate that she lived in the Glade.
- We have been in contact with the woman’s family to provide support.
- A representative from the Adena Medical Center had notified police about this incident before learning that the resident lived in independent living. A representative from ARMC followed up with police and let them know that the resident lived in the independent living building on the campus. Police are satisfied that this incident did not require further investigation.
