CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross County Health District has made public the results of recent health inspections conducted at various businesses, schools, and eateries. These inspections encompassed a range of establishments and identified both critical and non-critical violations.
On May 15, health inspectors visited The Kids Clubhouse located at 859 East Water Street and discovered one non-critical violation. According to the inspection report, there was a build-up of debris on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator.
Also on the same day, the Save A Lot grocery store situated at 1700 Western Avenue received a citation for a non-critical violation. Inspectors observed a coat hanging on a piece of equipment in the meat room.
Moving on to May 16, the Ross County Jail underwent an inspection, revealing two non-critical issues. The inspectors’ findings indicated that the water temperature at the handwashing sink by the dry storage area and the handwashing sink by the 3-compartment sink were below the required 100°F, measuring at 80 degrees F. Additionally, an accumulation of debris was detected on the floors and walls near the dish machine.
Similarly, on the same day, the McDonald’s restaurant situated at 1067 North Bridge Street was also inspected and found to have one non-critical violation. According to reports, there was no hand soap dispensing at the hand sink across from the prep area.
The Carver Community Center at 165 West Fourth Street was also subject to inspection, where two non-critical violations were observed. These included the absence of hand towels at the handwashing sink and a build-up of debris under equipment, near walls, and in corners.
Officials have noted that most of the violations were addressed and corrected on the same day, while others were informed of the necessary corrective measures to ensure compliance.
