ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of child pornography.
The Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit received a tip on June 28, about possible child porn in the county.
According to the report provided by the sheriff’s office, detectives reviewed the provided documents and video, and it was confirmed that the video indeed depicted child pornography.
Detectives, the report stated, were assigned to the case and launched their investigation into a residence on Sulphur Spring Road.
No further details have been released regarding the investigation.
Since 2014, the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) has identified 291 minors caught in human trafficking situations within the state of Ohio.
