Dear Citizens of Chillicothe,
Today, I write to you in challenging times as our beloved city stands in a time of pivotal change. With crime rates soaring and societal discord intensifying, our beautiful city, Chillicothe, is in desperate need of transformation. It is no time for empty promises or complacent politics. It is a time for decisive action, grounded understanding, and practical solutions.
For far too long, we’ve been subjected to the professional politics, where re-elections take precedence over reforms, and political interests overshadow public safety. The recent spike in shootings, homicides, burglaries, and rapes is a resounding call for change—a call that reverberates through every alleyway, home, and heart in Chillicothe. We cannot remain passive spectators as our community becomes engulfed in the shadows of violence and lawlessness.
Chillicothe’s plea for a solution brings us to an unprecedented juncture where we have an opportunity to instate someone in the mayor’s office who’s had boots on the ground—a brave soul who has patrolled our streets for 30 years, understood the neighborhood pulse, and valiantly defended our safety.
This year’s mayoral election presents us with an exceptional candidate, a seasoned police officer, who has dedicated her life to preserving the peace and enforcing the law. She has witnessed firsthand the ravages of crime and the devasting impact of drugs and overdoses. She knows our streets, she knows our challenges, and most importantly, she knows how to address them.
Unlike career politicians who construct policies from their office desks or from Democratic headquarters in Columbus, our candidate knows what it means to answer a call at 3 a.m., to negotiate with an armed criminal, and to console a victim of a crime. She understands the complexities of our city’s troubles, not from data and statistics, but from lived experiences and relentless service.
Her credentials are not wrapped in the jargon of political campaigns, but carved on the streets of Chillicothe, where every crack and corner narrates a story of her commitment. Understanding crime isn’t just part of her professional responsibility; it’s in her DNA. She knows the gravity of the badge and the responsibility it carries.
So, citizens of Chillicothe, the choice is yours. You can opt for more of the same, the apathetic policies and out-of-touch governance that have steered us into this storm. Or you can choose change. You can choose someone who’s walked our streets, fought our fights, and understands our struggles.
