ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A man was seriously injured after allegedly being attacked by another man with a knife and an axe. It happened Sunday evening in Ross County.
The incident occurred at a residence on Route 41 in Bainbridge. The victim, who has not been identified, sustained several lacerations to his forearms and was taken to Adena Greenfield Hospital for treatment.
The suspect, whose name is being withheld by the sheriff’s office, faces felonious assault charges.
According to the police report, the victim and the other man were acquaintances who had gotten into an argument. The attacker allegedly became enraged and attacked the victim with a knife and an axe. The victim was able to defend himself with a wooden baseball bat, but he was still seriously injured.
The police are still investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
