ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A man was shot in the stomach on Thursday, which led to a standoff with a suspect.
It happened Thursday afternoon in the 3000 block of Dry Run Road.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office said that they responded a call at around 3:30 PM. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the stomach The man was transported to a Columbus area trauma center by medical helicopter. His condition and name was not released.
The Sheriff’s office said that the shooter, William H. Harman, Jr. left the scene following the shooting.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Chillicothe SWAT was called to the Harman’s house, where they quickly surrounded it. After a brief standoff, he was taken into custody and charged with felonious assault.
