VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — Several construction projects are scheduled to begin in Vinton County next week, July 24, 2023.
One project will involve resurfacing and pedestrian safety improvements on U.S. 50 between SR 683 and SR 278. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The estimated completion date for this project is October 12.
Another project will replace a bridge on SR 324 between Township Road 11B and Township Road 11A. The road will be closed during this project. ODOT’s detour is SR 324 to SR 160 to N Main Street to SR 324. The estimated completion date for this project is August 8.
A landslide repair project will begin on July 24 on SR 356 between U.S. 50 and Lively Ridge Road (County Road 35). One lane will be closed during this project. Traffic will be maintained with temporary signals. The estimated completion date for this project is October 1.
Finally, a bridge replacement project will begin on July 24 on County Road 7. The road will be closed during this project. The estimated completion date for this project is October 1.
Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and allow extra travel time when traveling through Vinton County next week. Drivers should also be aware of construction personnel and equipment in the work zones.
