CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — In an incident shortly after midnight overnight, a person was shot in the chest at a Chillicothe cemetery. Authorities initially refrained from disclosing any specifics surrounding the incident, leaving the community in suspense, but confirmed late-Friday morning that the incident was a suicide.
Chillicothe Police were dispatched to the scene in response to reports of gunfire around midnight. The person shot, whose identity remains undisclosed, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, described by authorities as just above the heart.
