CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Police in Chillicothe are looking into two separate sexual assaults involving three students.
The first assault reported this week was between two 15-year-old students at Chillicothe Middle School, which has been labeled as rape. A female student told her teacher that another student “had forced her into a backroom, touched her inappropriately, and also forced her to spread her legs.” Police wrote that a second student also had the same thing done to them by the same perpetrator-student.
Police said that forensic interviews are being conducted with the two alleged victims to further validate the claims. So far, no charges have been filed against the fellow student.
In a second, more disturbing incident, an 8-year-old girl was videoed on security cameras being pinned up against a wall and also sexually assaulted by a fellow student, who was 9-years-old.
“[Student] grabbed [the 8-year-old student] with both hands in the hip area and attempted to pull down her tights,” police wrote. The perpetrator-student] grabbed the young-girl’s tights and was trying to force them off her as she actively fought to keep them on.
“…but to no avail was she able to keep them on. After the fight, the tights were lowered” and the student proceeded to back away and punch the girl.
The entire incident was caught on security cameras at the school. The incident is being reviewed.
The school’s superintendent released a statement to the Guardian on Thursday that said all the instances of sexual assault were addressed with the families involved, and law enforcement was handling the cases.
