CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Police are investigating an attempted robbery reported outside a business on East 2nd Street on February 12th.
According to a police report, a man was waiting for a ride when he was approached by an unknown suspect around 6:30 pm.
The suspect, described as a white male wearing a red hat, red long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and red/gray shoes, allegedly pointed a small black firearm at the victim and demanded his belongings.
However, the victim managed to de-escalate the situation and convince the suspect to lower the weapon.
Police responded to the incident and issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for the suspect.
