In a series of incidents on March 13, local law enforcement responded to a variety of calls, highlighting the diverse challenges they face in maintaining public safety.
An officer attempted a traffic stop on a Chevy Blazer at E Main and US 35 West, but the driver failed to comply with the order or signal of the officer.
A suspicious vehicle was reported at 32 Enterprise Lane, prompting an investigation into potential criminal trespassing.
A theft complaint was filed from River Trace Lane. The case is currently non-criminal, but the investigation is ongoing.
The Holiday Inn Express reported a theft from a motor vehicle. The case is under investigation.
An officer was dispatched to serve a warrant at the Ross County Jail (RCJ).
A customer causing problems at the Dollar General located at 1400 N. Bridge St. led to a criminal trespassing call.
An officer conducted a traffic stop at River Trace Lane due to the operation of a motor vehicle without a valid license.
A crash was reported at N Bridge St., where a private driver failed to yield the right of way.
Officers responded to Menards, 1570 N. Bridge St., in reference to a theft in progress. The suspects were found possessing drug abuse instruments.
A property owner at 47 E 5th St. reported a male subject periodically appearing on his front porch over the last week. The individual has been barred from the property.
Officers were dispatched to 284 Knoles Ave in reference to an overdose. The case, involving possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, continues.
A disorderly conduct case is pending following a dispatch to 458 Chestnut St.
An officer was dispatched to Tractor Supply for an agency assist regarding a case of driving under suspension due to child support or unpaid fines.
A traffic stop was conducted at E. Main St. near Wade Street for a case of driving under suspension due to FRA & random verification suspension.
