PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — In the early hours of this morning, at approximately 1:30 AM, the Pickaway Township Fire Department responded to a call regarding a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 23 and Pittsburgh Road. The incident involved a box truck that had collided with the rear of a semi-truck.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency crews found the box truck had sustained heavy damage, its front end crumpled from the impact. Remarkably, both the driver and passenger of the box truck managed to extricate themselves from the wreckage without assistance.
However, there was one individual who required medical attention. Emergency medical services transported a single patient to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. The extent of their injuries remains undisclosed at this time.
In order to facilitate the cleanup and investigation, the affected roadway remained closed for several hours.
