ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The family of a missing teenager, Whitney Hatfield, is intensifying their search efforts and reaching out to the community for assistance. The 16-year-old was last seen at her residence on Main Street in South Salem on March 7.
Search and rescue crews, including K-9 units and volunteers, have been conducting ground operations in an attempt to locate Hatfield. According to a family member, the K-9 units tracked her from her home to the last known location before she was potentially picked up.
The family has expressed their uncertainty about Hatfield’s motive, current location, and safety. They are pleading with the community for help in finding her.
Hatfield is described as being 5’ 1” tall, weighing 130lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing light-colored pants and a dark t-shirt.
The family urges anyone with information on Hatfield’s whereabouts to contact their nearest law enforcement agency.
