GALLIPOLIS, Ohio — Buckeye Rural Electric Cooperative is reporting a significant power outage impacting over 2,400 members in southeastern Ohio. The outage follows a line of severe thunderstorms that swept through the area earlier today.

According to the power company, Lawrence County is bearing the brunt of the outage. Crews are currently working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

No estimated time of restoration has been announced.
