CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A local woman, Amanda Conley, is recovering after being treated for a suspected drug overdose and arrested on drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct charges.
According to police reports, officers responded to a call on Jefferson Avenue for a possible overdose. Upon arrival, they found Conley unconscious in a parked car. A bystander who witnessed the incident reportedly administered Narcan to Conley before officers arrived.
Police observed drug paraphernalia and medication in the car, including a broken pen with residue, a container with Alprazolam pills, and an unknown “white rock-like substance.” All items were seized for evidence.
Conley, upon regaining consciousness, reportedly told officers she was forced to take drugs by a Waverly drug dealer who considers her “property” and uses her to test narcotics. She claimed the dealer possesses large quantities of fentanyl and avoids arrest through knowledge of planned raids.
While Conley’s allegations are unconfirmed, she has been issued a summons for drug paraphernalia possession and disorderly conduct by intoxication. She also has outstanding warrants for drug trafficking in Jackson County and a probation violation in Pike County.
Conley was treated at Adena Regional Medical Center and her current condition is unknown. The investigation into the alleged drug dealer and Conley’s claims is ongoing.
