ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A motorist reported that a firearm was pointed at her during a road rage incident on April 22, 2024. The victim told deputies she believes the other driver was angered by her.
Deputies with the sheriff’s office were dispatched to an address on US 23 to investigate the incident.
The victim said she was driving northbound on US 23 when a semi-truck in the fast lane pulled alongside her vehicle. The victim stated she was preparing to exit the highway and believed the other vehicle, described as a Nissan Rogue, moved into her lane thinking she was traveling faster than the semi.
The victim said the Nissan Rogue turned at the next exit and then approached her vehicle from the opposite direction. She pulled over to allow the vehicle to pass. As it did, she saw a female driver with brown hair in side pigtails and a Black male passenger with a short afro. The victim told police she saw the male passenger brandish a silver handgun before the Nissan Rogue re-entered the highway.
The victim provided police with a photograph of the suspect vehicle. The suspects remain unidentified. An investigation is ongoing.
