ROSS COUNTY, Ohio – Firefighters are battling an active blaze on the 3200 block of Cattail Road after flames were reported earlier this afternoon. Dispatchers received a 911 call at 12:25 p.m. reporting the fire in the backroom of a residence.

According to initial reports, all occupants safely evacuated the home before emergency crews arrived. Flames were visible upon the first responders’ arrival, prompting requests for mutual aid from multiple nearby departments to contain the fire.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, and crews continue to work at the scene. No injuries have been reported at this time.
