In a statement posted on social media, the owners, the McCollister family, shared their gratitude with staff and customers while expressing mixed emotions about the decision.

“After years of sharing love, laughter, and delicious meals, it’s with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we announce the closure of The Pleasant Valley Shake Shoppe,” the statement read.
The owners acknowledged their dedicated employees, calling them “the heartbeat of the shoppe.” They also expressed appreciation for their customers, saying, “We’re deeply thankful to our incredible staff, past and present, who have been the heartbeat of the shoppe. Your tireless efforts, kindness, and passion have made every customer feel welcome and cared for.”

While the Shake Shoppe is closing, the owners noted that the property will soon be on the market. “The building, business and property across the street will be listed for sale by a realtor very soon,” they stated.
