CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – A routine patrol turned into a high-speed chase on February 3, 2025, when police attempted to stop a maroon 2013 Kia Optima driven by Holly Davidson, a wanted felon with outstanding warrants. According to police reports, Davidson refused to pull over, sparking a dangerous pursuit through Ross and Pike counties.
Authorities first spotted Davidson near a McDonald’s on East Main Street. A detective, who had received a tip about her whereabouts, observed her abruptly reversing and changing direction upon noticing a marked police vehicle. She was later seen traveling eastbound on Main Street before turning south onto U.S. 23. When an officer activated emergency lights and sirens, Davidson allegedly accelerated in an attempt to flee.
The pursuit covered approximately 12 miles over the span of seven and a half minutes, with speeds reaching up to 110 mph. Police reports indicate that Davidson weaved through traffic, at times using the grass median and coming dangerously close to other vehicles. Officers noted that she nearly caused multiple collisions as she maneuvered through congested roadways.
Law enforcement attempted to deploy tire deflation devices near Blain Highway, but before they could be put in place, officers were ordered to terminate the pursuit for safety reasons. Davidson was last seen continuing southbound on U.S. 23, passing Alma-Omega Road.
Two days later, on February 5, police located Davidson hiding inside a Walgreens bathroom on North Bridge Street. According to reports, officers arrested her on multiple outstanding warrants, including those related to the high-speed chase.
Upon arriving at the jail, Davidson allegedly concealed contraband on her person. A body scanner detected anomalies, leading to the discovery of a butane lighter, a glass crack pipe, and a small bag containing an off-white substance. The items were seized and sent for further testing. Law enforcement has indicated additional charges related to this incident are forthcoming.
Davidson remains in custody as she awaits court proceedings. Police have emphasized that her reckless actions endangered the lives of multiple drivers and presented a substantial risk to public safety. The investigation is ongoing.
