SOUTH BLOOMFIELD, Ohio – Drivers passing through South Bloomfield should prepare for possible delays as work begins today on a long-anticipated widening project along U.S. 23.
According to the South Bloomfield Police Department, the plan is to maintain two lanes of traffic in both directions throughout construction. However, brief closures and lane shifts may be necessary at times to ensure the safety of workers.
Officials are advising drivers to avoid the area if possible or use extra caution when traveling through the construction zone. The project is expected to be completed by September.
Authorities urge patience and cooperation from drivers, emphasizing that once finished, the widening project will provide a safer and more efficient route for residents and visitors in Pickaway County.
