Eleanor Esther Karshner (née Smalley) passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on February 14, 1939, in Chillicothe, she was deeply connected to her community and family. She was married to David Karshner and was the proud mother of Teresa Baker and Jeff, and grandmother to Krystal, Taylor, Paige, Brittany, and Jordyn. Her career as a self-taught treasurer spanned Unioto and Minford Local Schools, and she was co-proprietor of K-C Raceway. Eleanor was an avid sports fan and cherished time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren Kash and Boston, and is fondly remembered by many. A funeral service will be held on February 22, 2025, at Brookside Church in Chillicothe. Memorial contributions may be made to Brookside Church in lieu of flowers.
