CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – After months of speculation, the future of the former Fox Farm Inn site on North Bridge Street has finally been revealed. According to recent permit filings with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), an Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers location is planned for the now-vacant lot.

The permit application, filed by the Alabama-based Express Oil Change, LLC, was recently approved for an NPDES Notice of Intent (NOI), a key step in moving forward with construction. The EPA permit, effective March 11, 2025, will remain active until April 22, 2028, allowing time for the project to take shape.

A Landmark’s Legacy, A New Chapter
The Fox Farm Inn, once a beloved Chillicothe landmark, stood at the North Bridge Street site for nearly a century. Its demolition marked the end of an era, but the property is now set for a new commercial development.
Express Oil Change, a fast-growing franchise based in Birmingham, Alabama, operates locations across the southeastern and midwestern United States, specializing in quick oil changes, tire services, and minor automotive repairs.
What to Expect from Express Oil Change
Once completed, the new location will offer:
✅ 10-minute drive-thru oil changes – with no appointment needed
✅ Full-service tire replacement, rotation, and alignment
✅ Vehicle inspections, brake services, and minor mechanical repairs
✅ ASE-certified technicians on-site

What’s Next?
While an official opening date has not yet been announced, securing the EPA permit indicates that the construction process will soon begin. Express Oil Change has been rapidly expanding into Ohio, and Chillicothe’s high-traffic North Bridge Street corridor makes it a strategic location for the company.
For longtime residents who remember Fox Farm Inn, the transition is bittersweet. But for Chillicothe motorists, a convenient and fast new auto service option is officially on the way.
