PIKE COUNTY, Ohio – Students from the Pike County Career Technology Center (CTC) put their fire training to the test today, assisting local crews in containing a brush fire in Pike County.
The students, who have been undergoing firefighter training throughout the year, were called upon to help combat the fire, gaining real-world experience while providing valuable support to their community.
Dressed in protective gear, the students worked alongside professional firefighters to control the flames, using hand tools and fire suppression techniques to prevent further spread.
Local officials and fire instructors praised the students for their commitment and professionalism, noting that experiences like this prepare them for careers in fire service, emergency response, and public safety.
