As the MLB regular season draws to a close, all eyes are turning towards the World Series, which begins at the end of October. If one thing’s for certain, it’s that we’re in for entertainment! The Dodgers are on the hunt for a historic second consecutive series win, but the Phillies, Mariners and Yankees aren’t going to roll over easily.

Whether you’re backing the Blues, or you think Milwaukee is brewing up a win, comparison sites are a great way to find the best betting sites for making a bet on the World Series. Before we dive into the action, there are a few essential factors to consider when determining whether a comparison site is going to be a home run or a strike out!

What do I look for in a comparison site?

I follow the criteria below each time I’m checking out a comparison site to make sure I’m only getting the cream of the crop:

● Variety of MLB sites – I like having quite a few sites which offer MLB betting to choose from just to make sure that I can find the absolute right option for me.

● Team expertise – One of the most important things to look at is whether the team really knows what they’re talking about. I tend to head to the ‘About Us’ section and read through the team’s profiles to get a picture of their overall experience.

● User experience – To me, it’s pretty pointless offering loads of great betting sites if they’re impossible to find. I make sure to consider my experience navigating the site and also check out what other players have to say.

● Content quality – Any great comparison site will offer detailed reviews and articles to guide players through how sports betting works and offer top tips.

Now that we know what we’re on the lookout for, let’s see how three of the top options measure up. I’ll be awarding each a mark out of five home runs depending on whether I’d recommend giving them a try.

1. World Sports Network, MVP – 4.9/5 home runs

It took me a matter of seconds to locate the MLB options available at World Sports Network (WSN) through their ‘Sports’ heading. Although I do think including a few additional MLB betting sites would be a good idea, there was still enough variety for me. There are even some low budget options with low deposit bonuses.

When it came to choosing between the sites, their detailed top list was really handy. They cover things like the top features, best bonuses and payment methods, so I could choose at a glance. My favorite thing though was their little banner that indicates how many people have claimed a bonus in a week, so I can verify it’s still available.

When I took a look at the team behind WSN, I knew I was in safe hands — particularly given their decades of combined experience. They’re home to some of the leading voices in the industry, including Michael Savio, their resident baseball expert. Although he’s only been in the game for three years, Michael has quickly become one of the most trusted baseball specialists thanks to his love for stats and sports. Another top expert is Bryan Zarpentine, who’s racked up 14 years of industry experience and offers the keen insights of a real bettor.

What makes WSN the MVP?

WSN really distinguishes itself as the top choice for MLB betting through their high-quality content. I read a selection of their reviews and was really impressed by just how thorough they were. They consider everything I could possibly want to know, including user experience, extra features, bonuses, payment methods and customer support, making for really detailed reviews.

In the past, the detailed reviews I’ve read have been dense, and frankly, rather tough reading. I didn’t find that to be the case at WSN, as they use tables, screenshots and lists to break the information down. You don’t just have to take my word for it though, as the only review of WSN I was able to find is from Milo, who mentions that he ‘loves their content’ and awards the site five stars.

2. OLBG.com, Handy top list – 4.7/5 home runs

There are some great MLB betting sites available at OLBG.com, and I was pleased to see low and no deposit bonuses available as well. Their top list was another standout as it included everything I wanted to know about a site, such as the minimum deposit, payout speed and minimum odds. The review I found, which mentioned baseball specifically, praised their ‘comprehensive coverage of most sports’. I would tend to agree that there’s a wide range of sports available on their site!

OLBG.com is also the ideal resource if you enjoy reading detailed reviews when picking the best betting site for yourself. I found they covered everything I wanted them to with clear pros and cons sections to make my selection even easier. They also included the expert opinions of each author, and I appreciated how unbiased and honest these were.

The team behind OLBG.com is one of the most experienced I’ve ever evaluated. Combined, they have spent multiple decades in the industry. There are plenty of standouts, but Darren Brett was the one who really caught my attention. He has a staggering 30 years of experience in sports betting, so he knows how to pick the heavy hitters.

Where did OLBG.com strike out?

My main criticism of OLBG.com comes down to navigation, as I found trying to locate their MLB betting section quite frustrating. They could do with taking a page out of WSN’s book by allowing users to filter their options based on the sport they’re interested in. I thought the MLB betting sites would be located under the ‘Betting Sites’ header like some of the other sports, but I was only able to find them through a search.

3. Gambling.com, Bonus features – 4.4/5 home runs

I was able to find the MLB betting sites available at Gambling.com through a search of their site and was relatively impressed by the handful of options. It was great that they included a couple of low deposit bonuses, so all players can find their ideal site. My favorite feature was their comparison function, which allowed me to pick a few betting sites and then directly compare them based on payment methods, bonuses, odds and minimum deposits. I’d love to see their comparison feature incorporated into more sites in the future!

The content available at Gambling.com is second to none, with their reviews mentioning everything I wanted them to. They comprehensively cover factors such as bonuses, payment methods, reputation and responsible gambling features and break them down into clear tables. The standout addition for me was their video at the top of each review discussing what they look for when rating sites. I found it made understanding their process much easier, and was more informative than a lengthy guidelines page.

When I was reading through reviews of Gambling.com, I saw their team crop up in quite a lot of the praise. One such review was from Lee Thompson, who talked about their communication being ‘10/10’ and that the team was ‘there to support’ him throughout his time using the site. I had quite high expectations of the team, and I’m pleased to say they don’t disappoint. Shannon Lane is the expert behind their MLB content, and it was interesting to read about her experience working in the NFL and for major sports magazines. Regardless of which team member you look at, it’s clear that you’re in safe hands at Gambling.com.

What made Gambling.com stumble at first base?

There was something slightly odd about using Gambling.com to find MLB betting options. I found their page titled the ‘Best MLB Betting Sites’, but they didn’t include a single option on it. There was all the expected content and even references to a list of sites below, but there were no sites to be seen. Although I did manage to find their options eventually, I would recommend they review this page and add their MLB betting sites to it in the future.

Which site was best in show?

The all-star of my investigation was World Sports Network, which excelled based on our criteria. Not only was it easy to locate the MLB betting sites they had available, but there is a wide variety to choose from, so I could pick one which absolutely aligned with my preferences. When it came to deciding which site to use, their detailed top list and thorough reviews made my life a whole lot easier.

Given the experience of the team behind WSN, I knew that I was choosing from the very best sites available and couldn’t go wrong whichever one I picked. Overall, WSN smashed home run after home run, making them my most recommended option for finding MLB betting sites!
