COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Pickaway County man has pleaded guilty to six federal drug and firearm charges after investigators raided his Hilliard hotel room in October 2025 and found a staggering cache of narcotics, weapons, and cash.
Samuel A. Griffith, 35, of Ashville, admitted guilt in federal court on Tuesday. He now faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and up to life behind bars.
According to court documents, Griffith was selling fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine out of a room at the Red Roof Inn in Hilliard when federal agents executed a search warrant. Inside the room, they discovered more than four kilograms of methamphetamine, 800 grams of fentanyl, a partial kilogram of cocaine, 18 firearms, and nearly $40,000 in cash.
Griffith has prior felony convictions for robbery, aggravated drug possession, and having weapons under disability — convictions that legally prohibit him from possessing firearms or ammunition.
He pleaded guilty to six counts, including distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, and illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Sentencing will be determined by the court at a future hearing.
