WAVERLY, Ohio — Waverly High School senior Mya Shaw has been named one of six recipients of the Thomas J. Klinedinst, Jr. Memorial Students of Integrity Scholarship, earning a $5,000 award from the Better Business Bureau Cincinnati to support her post-secondary education.
Shaw was selected from hundreds of applicants across BBB Cincinnati’s 22-county service area covering northern Kentucky, southern Ohio, and southeast Indiana. The scholarship, awarded annually since 2003, recognizes high school seniors whose values align with ethical leadership.

This year’s essay prompt asked students to examine the ethical implications of “hustle culture” and the pressure to take shortcuts in pursuit of success.
Shaw plans to attend Shawnee State University to study radiology technology.
