ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — One person is dead, and another is in custody following a shooting at a Ross County residence Sunday afternoon, according to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and medics were dispatched to a residence on Mt. Zion Road just before 3:30 p.m. after a caller reported that a female had been shot and was deceased inside the home.
Upon arrival, deputies took a suspect into custody without incident. A deceased female was located inside the residence.
The case is classified in the sheriff’s case log as reckless homicide. The investigation is being handled by the RCSO Detective Bureau and the Ross County Coroner’s Office.
No additional details, including the identities of those involved, have been released. The Guardian is actively working to gather more information and will update this story as it becomes available.
