PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — A Scioto County grand jury returned 11 public indictments when it met May 8, Scioto County Prosecutor Shane A. Tieman announced Thursday.
Four of the indictments stem from what appears to be a coordinated drug trafficking operation, with each defendant facing charges of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and conspiracy alongside drug trafficking counts.
Ellis Fety, 41, of Lucasville, was indicted on engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, two counts of conspiracy, three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound.
Randy Stevens, 56, of New Boston, was indicted on engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, two counts of conspiracy, two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, and trafficking in cocaine.
Jessica Darby, 28, of Portsmouth, was indicted on engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, two counts of conspiracy, aggravated trafficking in drugs, trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, and trafficking in cocaine.
Lauren Benitez, 26, of Mason, was indicted on engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, two counts of conspiracy, two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, and trafficking in cocaine.
Jonathan Lott, 40, of West Portsmouth, was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lindsey Verne, 40, of Wheelersburg, was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs.
Macey Hayman, 30, of Syracuse, and Brandon Bernard, 31, of Corning, were each indicted on tampering with evidence, theft, telecommunications fraud, and misdemeanor theft.
Donald Billetter, 54, of West Portsmouth, was indicted on two counts of felonious assault, strangulation, and domestic violence.
Elizabeth Monk, 25, of Portsmouth, was indicted on theft from a person in a protected class.
Tina Gillespie, 50, of Portsmouth, was indicted on theft.
