WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — Fayette County commissioners will consider amended agreements tied to the L-H Battery plant, a road extension near the county’s mega site and a new jail phone services contract at their meeting Wednesday, according to the board’s agenda.
Commissioners are set to authorize an amended community reinvestment area agreement and an amended development agreement for L-H Battery, the joint venture building a battery plant near Jeffersonville. The county has continued to adjust its arrangements with the project since resuming building permit review for the Honda-LG battery plant earlier this month. The agenda does not detail what the amendments change.
The board also plans to authorize a local public agency agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation that would let the county engineer design an extension of Bluegrass Boulevard from state Route 729 to state Route 41, using federal funds. The project follows commissioners’ recent moves on a 20-year thoroughfare plan tied to growth expected near the mega site.
In old business, commissioners are scheduled to vote on a resolution authorizing a service agreement with Stellar Services LLC for inmate telephone, video visitation and related communication services at the Fayette County Jail.
Other new-business items on the agenda include three contracts and contract amendments between the county Department of Job and Family Services and Community Action: two would provide Title XX homemaker and transportation services, and a third would extend expanded work-related transportation services through Dec. 31. Commissioners will also consider an amendment to the county’s electric service agreement with Dynegy Energy Services East LLC to add the Rattlesnake Wastewater Treatment Plant as a new service location.
The meeting is scheduled for Sept. 2 at the Fayette County Commissioners’ office.
