CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A man was reportedly struck by a truck while riding a lawn mower on Chester Hill Road in Huntington Township on Saturday afternoon, according to initial emergency radio traffic.

Ross County squad and rescue crews were dispatched to the 300 block of Chester Hill Road shortly before 3:30 p.m. Saturday for a report that a truck had struck a man on a riding lawn mower, according to radio traffic. The man was reported conscious at the time crews were dispatched.

Ross County Sheriff’s units and Huntington Township Fire and EMS crews responded to the scene, according to radio traffic. Dispatchers coordinated with multiple responding units over several radio exchanges in the minutes that followed, and traffic referenced launching a medical helicopter, according to radio traffic monitored by the Guardian.

No additional details on the man’s condition were available as of Saturday afternoon.
