ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Rescue personnel from Union and Concord Townships responded Friday afternoon to a two-vehicle accident.
The call came in around 3:30 p.m. of a car and truck involved in a crash along route 28 at Norman Hill Road.
According to initial reports, one person was trapped inside one of the wrecked vehicles and needed the jaws of life to be freed.
A medical helicopter was requested to transport the most seriously injured to a Columbus area hospital.
The names and extent of any injuries were not immediately released.
Troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol ask that motorists avoid the area as crews work to clear the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
