FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Ohio — A 48-year-old man from Sugar Grove in Fairfield County, Joseph Ennemoser, was arrested over the weekend on charges of kidnapping and attempting to sexually assault an 11-year-old girl. The incident occurred in Franklin County as the child was on her way to school.
According to reports, Ennemoser approached the girl while he was driving down the road near Blacklick Estates and asked for directions to a nearby school. Police said the girl then entered his vehicle but was soon accosted by Ennemoser, who attempted to sexually assault her.
Thankfully, the child was able to escape the situation and immediately reported it to her family. Area surveillance cameras were able to provide leads to the police, ultimately leading to Ennemoser’s arrest.
Ennemoser has denied the allegations and is now in custody at the Franklin County jail. The police investigation is ongoing.
