FRANKLIN FURNACE, Ohio — The Ohio Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into a crash involving a vehicle that struck a residence on Haverhill Ohio Furnace Road near milepost 4. The incident occurred on Monday, March 20, 2023, at approximately 11:33 PM. According to the authorities, a 2005 Ford Taurus, driven by Sean E. White, age 34, of Ironton, Ohio, was traveling northwest on Haverhill Ohio Furnace Road when it veered off the right side of the roadway, overturned, and collided with a residence.
As a result of the collision, Mr. White was ejected from the vehicle and sustained multiple injuries. An occupant of the residence, 21-year-old Allison Klaiber, was also injured in the crash. Ms. Klaiber was treated at the scene by Green Township EMS. Mr. White was airlifted by AirEvac to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia, for medical attention.
The authorities believe that alcohol was a contributing factor in the collision. The investigation is still ongoing.
