ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A dangerous high-speed chase ended in Ross County Thursday evening.

The vehicle was stopped just inside Ross County after a chase went for several miles.

The chase began in Pickaway County before crossing into Ross County. The driver and their passenger were reportedly barreling south on Route 23 when they were spotted by law enforcement.

Deputies from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and the Pickaway and Ross County Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol pursued the vehicle. The chase lasted for several miles, and at times reached speeds of over 100 mph.

The chase came to a dramatic end in the area of Crouse Chapel Road. The driver and passenger were taken into custody.

Officials have not released the reason for the pursuit or the names of those involved. No further details were available.
