PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — An unidentifiable woman was killed on Wednesday in rural Pickaway County in a car crash.
Deputies responded to the crash on route 104 near Van Meter Road around 1 p.m.
The woman was driving along the highway and failed to negotiate a curve and drove over a steep embankment. She was initially alive in critical condition and a medical helicopter was called to the scene. Unfortunately, the woman died before it could arrive.
The woman’s identity was unknown by deputies; she was driving a car that belonged to a person from Columbus and she had no identification in the vehicle. When contacted by law enforcement, the car’s owner said they only knew the woman by her first name. Her body will be taken for an autopsy in an attempt to get a positive identification.
No other information was immediately released.
