WAVERLY, Ohio – Hallie Oyer, a recent graduate of Waverly High School, has been awarded the 2024 Rumpke Scholarship for Pike County. This $1,000 scholarship is given to a Pike County graduate pursuing a two or four-year degree at an accredited institution, including vocational and trade schools.

Hallie was selected for her dedication to academics, environmental stewardship, and community service. She plans to attend Heidelberg University to study Business Administration. After earning her undergraduate degree, Hallie aims to complete a master’s degree in business and become a corporate attorney.

“I feel that a business degree will be a successful first step to becoming an attorney,” Hallie wrote in her application.

In addition to her academic goals, Hallie is excited to join Heidelberg University’s volleyball team and play at the collegiate level.

“Hallie’s hard work in balancing her athletics, academics, and community service will take her far, and we are pleased to support her goals with this scholarship award,” said Rumpke Regional Vice President Bill Youk.
