JACKSON, Ohio — A 78-year-old Piketon man sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Route 233 in Jackson County on August 25.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. when Clayton Clark was traveling southeast on his blue 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Clark reportedly failed to negotiate a curve, causing him to veer off the left side of the road and collide with a tree.
Emergency responders transported Clark from the scene, and he was later airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
Route 233 was temporarily closed following the incident.
The crash is still under investigation.
